Ingfrid Breie Nyhus​ presents the lunchtime concerts, every day at 13:00 from 6–12 August.

Ingfrid Breie Nyhus performs folk music, classical and contemporary music at the piano. She grew up in a folk music family, and made classical piano soloist studies in Norway, Finland and Germany. She has since worked with classical and contemporary solo and chamber music, with several commissions and cooperations with composers. Critics early described her as ”a virtuoso of timbre”, with “luscious touch and rich nuances”, being among the new generation of pianists “who really have something on their heart». She has received several prizes for her performances and recordings, such as The Norwegian Soloist Prize 2005. The album “Hardanger Fiddle in Art Music” was nominated for the Norwegian Grammy 2016, and the album “Slåttepiano” was nominated for the Norwegian folk music award Folkelarmprisen 2016. She has performed at festivals and concert series, and has worked as artistic researcher at the Norwegian Academy of Music.

Lunchtime concerts, every day at 13:00 in Troldsalen 
Edvard Grieg (1843-1907): Utvalgte Lyriske stykker / Selected Lyric Pieces 

Every day we invite you to a lunch concert in Troldsalen, where the pianist of the week will present his or hers selection of Grieg’s music with a personal touch. Troldsalen is the most beautiful chamber music hall in Norway and gives a unique experience of the music, the hall and the nature outside. Duration: 30 min.

NOK 160/110/50. (NOK 250/200/100 with bus).
