KODE's Composer Homes concists of the former homes of Edvard Grieg, Ole Bull and Harald Sæverud. All three of our composers were, much like Astrup, inspired by nature. This is reflected in their homes as well as in their music.

Nicolai Astrup himself used musical terminology (such as "symphony" and "nocturne") to describe colours and paintings. He stated that of all art forms; music is the closest to painting and that a gifted musician was a latent painter.

Oda Voltersvik - “(…) an extraordinary Scandinavian artist!” (Per Brevig, Musicians Club New York) - has performed at numerous venues internationally such as Carnegie Hall & Scandinavia House (NYC), Wigmore Hall & St Martin in the Fields (London), “Palermo Classica” International Festival, the Norwegian Opera House and since 2014; Troldhaugen. She holds a Master’s in Performance from the Royal College of Music London and an Artist Diploma from the Trinity Laban, with distinction. Her solo CD “Firebird” and duo CD “Khoreia” has received great reviews internationally and she is a 1st prize winner of the Bradshaw&Buono International competition. As project leader of solo tours, Volt Ensemble and the concert series MIM7, she has achieved funding from the Norwegian Arts Council, Fund for Performing Artists, Music Norway, Bergen Municipality and Fegerstens foundation. In the autumn of 2021, Voltersvik formed the concert series Volt Classics which was held in the centre of Bergen in an intimate setting. For the years 2021 and 2022, she has been awarded the Norwegian Arts Council`s work grant for younger and newly established artists in Norway.
