CANCELLED: Lunchtime concert in Troldsalen with pianist Jørn Skauge, Sunday 29 March at 13.00.

All concerts at Troldhaugen are cancelled as a consequence of the Coronavirus outbreak, until 14 April. More information available here.

We invite you to a lunchtime concert in Troldsalen chamber music hall, with a beautiful view to Edvard Grieg’s composer’s hut.

Grieg’s famous lyric pieces as well as his arrangements of Norwegian folk songs will be on the repertory. Each pianist will present their own programs.

Pianist of the day

Jørn Skauge, tutored by Professor Audun Kayser at the Grieg Academy in Bergen, holds a Master degree as a performing classical pianist. At his final Master Exam Concert it was noted by the exam sensor that the young pianist had held a concert on an "absolute world class level". Skauge has performed as a soloist and chamber musician, and held concerts with professional musicians both domestic and abroad. In addition to concert activities, Skauge also works as a piano teacher and accompanist.


Ticket includes entrance to the exhibition and Grieg's Villa.
