Ingunn Ådland, piano

Duration: ca 45 minutes

While Ole Bull’s home at Lysøen is closed, we invite Ole Bull to visit Edvard Grieg at Troldhaugen. Saturdays at 13.00.

The violin virtuoso Ole Bull was a very important mentor for the young Edvard Grieg and remained a close friend and support throughout Grieg’s life.

Four talents from Bergen will perform works by Ole Bull and Edvard Grieg, but they will also present music by other composers.

About the musicians

Rasmus Hella Mikkelsen is currently studying at the Barratt Due Institute of Music in Oslo. For the last two years he has had his own concert series «Enchanted by Ole Bull» at Museum Lysøen, where he also premiered several of his own compositions. In 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 he is taking part in the pilot project «Youth Conductors», a cooperation between Dextra Musica and the Barratt Due Talent Program. Mikkelsen is active both as a soloist and chamber musician.

Ingunn Ådland is an experienced concert pianist here at Troldhaugen and has recorded two albums of music by Grieg. She has performed in many concerts at home and abroad, both as an accompanist and a soloist.
