Edel Bolstad (b. 1996) is a classical pianist from Bergen, Norway. The spring of 2021 she finished her performing master degree at the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo, guided by professors Kathryn Stott, Håvard Gimse and Einar Henning Smebye. In addition to this Edel is active as a musician, and has figured in several Norwegian festivals, such as Bergen International Festival, Fjord Classics, Grieg in Bergen Festival and Trondheim Chamber Music Festival. She has taken lessons and recieved masterclasses from teachers like Leif Ove Andsnes, Marianna Shirinyan, Einar Steen Nøkleberg and Håkon Austbø. Edel is also an eager chamber musician, and in January 2018 she won the first price of the Norwegian academy of music chamber competition with her group, Clara Quartet.
This summer Edel will be playing in Oslo Chamber Music Festival, Fjord Classics, Larvik Barokk and Gloppen Musikkfest. This fall she is arranging her own concert series at Caféteatret in Oslo, with music written by female composers.
