Julie Yuqing Ye (1992) graduated from the Artist Diploma course at the Norwegian Academy of Music in 2018, after finishing her master and bachelor degrees at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. She studied with Marianna Shirinyan, Håvard Gimse, Charles Owen and Katya Apekisheva, as well as Alessandra Georgia Brustia during an exchange term to the Claudio Monteverdi Conservatorio in Bolzano. Before her studies in London she went to the Barratt Due Institute of Music in Oslo, in the class of Einar Steen-Nøkleberg.

Last time she performed at Troldhaugen was at the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation’s live television broadcast of "Grieg Minute by Minute" in 2018. Other venues include the Norwegian Opera and Ballet and the Oslo Concert Hall, as well as Wigmore Hall in London. She is currently based in Oslo, freelancing and teaching piano.
