Pål Eide´s album Grey Clouds with music by Liszt, Ravel, Debussy and Stravinsky received spectacular reviews in a number of international music magazines and gave him a breakthrough at the age of 47. Since then, he has been a busy soloist and chamber musician, performing at music festivals, in radio and television, and he has been a frequent guest at Troldhaugen. Right before the corona-lockdown he was a soloist in Grieg´s Piano Concerto in the first performance in Sibiria, Russia, with a Norwegian soloist and conductor (Torodd Wigum). Pål Eide´s new record Pictures, with Grieg, Sæverud, Johansen, Koch and Mussorgsky, is recorded on Grieg´s piano at Troldhaugen and has received considerable attention in international media.

Pål Eide was born in Bergen in 1970 and has been living in Denmark since his debut in Copenhagen. He studied at The Royal Danish Academy of Music and at the Tchaikovsky Conservatoire in Moscow, with further studies with Jiri Hlinka in Bergen.
