FALL VACATION FUN: SILJUSTØL AND TROLDHAUGEN

During the fall break we are inviting children of all ages to a song hour at Troldhaugen and to a storytelling hour with pony rides at Siljustøl.

WEEKDAYS OCTOBER 12TH–15TH: SONG HOUR AT TROLDHAUGEN
Did you know that it was Edvard Grieg who wrote the tune to Fola fola Blakken and that it was Nina Grieg who sang it for the first time? During fall break we are inviting children of all ages to a cozy hour of song and storytelling in Nina and Edvard’s villa. Who knows, maybe Blakken might make an appearance himself?

When: Every day from Tuesday, Oct. 12th to Friday October 15th at 12 pm and 1 pm.
Duration: 45 minutes
Free entry for children accompanied by a paying adult. 

Reservations: Seat reservations recommended and will be posted on our website one week in advance.

WEEKEND OCTOBER 16TH OG 17TH: STORYTELLING HOUR AND PONY RIDES AT SILJUSTØL 
The composer Harald Sæverud was very fond of animals and Fola fola Blakken was his favourite song. During the fall break we are inviting children of all ages to fun activities at Siljustøl. In Marie and Harald’s large sitting room you can listen to music and fairytales about animals. On the outdoor grounds you can meet cute ponies. Do you think one of them might be called Blakken?

When: Open museum Saturday, October 16th and Sunday, October 17th, 11 am–4 pm.
Storytelling hour in the large sitting room: 11 am, 12 pm, 1 pm, 2 pm and 3 pm. (Duration: 45 minutes)
Pony rides on the grounds: 12–2 pm (NOK 40 per round)
Free for children accompanied by paying adult.
