LUNCHTIME CONCERT: MAI GOTO

Tuesday-Sunday at 11:30 and 13.00: Welcome to lunchtime concerts with Mai Goto, pianist of the week at Troldhaugen from 2 - 7 August.

We invite you to a lunchtime concert in Troldsalen chamber music hall, with a beautiful view to Edvard Grieg’s composer’s hut. Grieg’s famous lyric pieces as well as his arrangements of Norwegian folk songs will be on the repertory. Each pianist will present their own programs.

Concert in Troldsalen at 11:30 and 13:00.

Pianist of the week: Mai Goto

Mai Goto graduated from Osaka University of Music, Japan, where she studied with Atsuhiko Shimizu, and continued her studies with György Nádor at the Liszt Academy in Budapest. she has a Master's degree from the Grieg Academy, University of Bergen, where she studied with Signe Bakke and Torleif Torgersen.  

In July 2020, Mai Goto received the 1st prize of the "Emil Rotundu"competition,in Romania. Ealier, she was awarded the 1st prize in “The 24th International Music Competition Rovero d'Oro” in Italy, in 2009. 

Mai Goto is active both as a soloist and as a chamber musician, and has played concerts in Europe, USA and Japan.

NOK 200/130/50. Ticket includes entrance to the exhibition and Grieg's Villa. Leftover tickets are sold at Troldhaugen.
