Jørn Skauge, tutored by Professor Audun Kayser at the Grieg Academy in Bergen, holds a master’s degree as a performing classical pianist. At his final master concert in 2015 it was noted by the exam sensor that the young pianist had held a concert on an "absolute world class level". Skauge appears regularly at Troldhaugen, highly acclaimed by the audience. He has also performed as soloist and chamber musician and has held concerts with musicians both domestic and abroad. In addition to concert activities, Skauge also works as organist, piano teacher and accompanist.

Lunchtime concerts 
Throughout the summer, Edvard Grieg Museum invites you to lunchtime concerts in Troldsalen chamber music hall, with a beautiful view to Edvard Grieg’s composer’s hut. Grieg’s famous lyric pieces as well as his arrangements of Norwegian folk songs will be on the repertory. Each pianist will present their own programs. Read more about the concerts
