Lunchtime concerts: Thormod Kvam

Tuesday-Sunday at 11:30 and 13.00: Welcome to lunchtime concerts with Thormod Rønning Kvam, pianist of the week at Troldhaugen from 21-26 June.

We invite you to a lunchtime concert in Troldsalen chamber music hall, with a beautiful view to Edvard Grieg’s composer’s hut. Grieg’s famous lyric pieces as well as his arrangements of Norwegian folk songs will be on the repertory. Each pianist will present their own programs.

Concert in Troldsalen at 11:30 and 13:00.

Pianist of the week: Thormod Rønning Kvam

Having recently graduated with a DipRAM award from the Royal Academy of Music, Thormod Rønning Kvam enjoys the creativity involved in being a musician of the 21st century. Highlights from recent years include solo and chamber music performances in London's Wigmore Hall, Harpa in Reykjavik, the Norwegian Opera, Stockholm Concert House and at Hardanger Musikkfest.

In recognition of his musicianship he has been granted numerous prizes and scholarships such as the Musician of the Year prize from the Forsberg and Aulie Foundation. Thormod is Artistic Director of The Aula Series, a year-round chamber music series based in the historically renowned Oslo University Aula, the Bergen University Aula and at Ramme in Hvitsten.
